Placement of Metatarsal Pad
The easiest and most accurate way to place the pad is on liner of the shoe.
Take the removable insole out of the shoe.
Locate the Ball of the Foot: Place your foot on the insole and mark the area where the ball of your foot rests (the bony knuckles just before your toes).
Position the Pad: Place the adhesive-backed metatarsal pad on the insole so that its distal edge (the edge closest to the toes) rests just behind the line you marked.
Rule of Thumb: If you imagine the insole divided into thirds (forefoot, arch, heel), the metatarsal pad is generally positioned in the middle third, near the front of that section.
Test and Adjust (Crucial Step):
Do not fully peel off the adhesive yet. Peel back only a small portion or use temporary tape to secure it.
Place the insole back in the shoe and stand up. You should feel the pad pressing gently into the arch area, not directly into the painful bony part of the ball of your foot.
If it feels uncomfortable or like you are standing on a marble, adjust the position slightly forward or backward until it feels like it is providing support and a lift that relieves the pressure on the forefoot.
Secure the Pad: Once the position is comfortable and effective, peel off the full adhesive backing and firmly stick the pad under the insole.

Love my new poron metatarsal cushion pads. I just peel off the paper and paste it under my shoe's insole. Off loads my ball of foot. Really helps to stop my Morton's Neuroma pain. My wife even uses the ball of foot pads for her foot pain. She puts hers on her orthotics.

Excellent quality and service from Atlas Biomechanics. Poron ball of foot pads are easy to glue into my shoes with the peelable paper and adhesive on the pads. They stick in place. My Morton's Neuroma thanks you and no more foot pain.

Excellent quality and excellent service. Poron metatarsal cushions my ball of foot better than any felt or foam callus pads I have tried. I peel off the paper and place them in my shoe.

Your poron ppt metatarsal cushions are great to off load ball of foot pain. I have been using them for all my metatarsal and Morton's neuroma patients for their conservative treatment. Our office just places them with the adhesive backing into the shoe. Works terrific.
Thanks
Dr. Dee Green
